NT Service Control Add-In - Invoking usage from IPSentry
Before the add-in can be configured and utilized, you must configure an IPSentry add-in alert entry to make use of this add-in.
The following steps outline the requirements to add an entry to IPSentry add-in alert list that should utilize this add-in
From the IPSentry Active Display Console
Select Options from the Edit menu
Select the Server/Machine Monitoring tab.
Click on the Add button.
Configure a "Service Type" alert to
monitor
(See the IPSentry help documentation on configuring an NT Service Monitor)
Once configured, click on the "Add-In" alert TAB.
Click the "ADD" button to add a new add-in alert.
Highlight the add-in in the list and click the "Select" button.
You are now ready to begin configuring the add-in by clicking the "Add-In Configuration" button.
While the add-in will return configuration information to IPSentry that will be placed in the "ARGS" field of the add-in configuration window, you should not manually update this field since some settings are obfuscated for security and parsing purposes.
